Mazda Madness

"Zoom-Zoom"

Bold designs with shifty handling and an edge of sporty performance describe the Zoom-Zoom vehicles. These cars have been perfect for the everyday driver with a touch of versatility for years now, and there is a reason behind that. Mazda has been offering sporty cars along with being the mpg conscious gas savers as well, translating into a double win for Mazda owners. OH, and when we say Mazda owners, we mean male and female, these are not just "chick" cars as you will find out.

Mazda6 2007 Sedan

Again, this is a fun car to drive. Super slick manual transmission, smooth power delivery, with a great overall design. Mazda6 is on the sporty side of the sedan family while still getting 24/31 mpg on the road. Reliability is another strong suit of the Mazda6, adding comfort of mind. This model below has heated seats for those chilly days and a power sunroof for the summer breeze.

Mazda3 2010 Hatchback

If you're looking for smaller, inexpensive, fun sedan or hatchback, this vehicle should be at the top of your list. A personal favorite of many for years now, the Mazda3 sport hatchback is a hard find with the continuously rising demand of hatchbacks. The athletic Mazda3 handles with high performance, above average luxury options, and quality interior all in one brilliant package.

Mazda MX-5 Miata 2005

Zoom-Zoom to its fullest extent, the MX-5 lives it. Wherever those rumors began about this vehicle being limited to a "chick car" obviously doesn't know anything about it. If you keep on reading, you wont be bundled into this group of people.

You Can Make it Into a Real Beast
  • Many professional race car drivers get their start driving these sports cars. The SCCA runsa series called "Specs Miata", naturally, utilizes these Miata vehicles. In 2009 SCCA Solo 2 Nationals, 27 of the 33 vehicle entries where Miata's. Hmm, imagine that.
  • What's great about the Miata is that you can customize it into your own powerful monster. There are uncountable amounts of after market parts and tuners for Miatas. Yes I said powerful monster, it passed a Ferrari while racing in this video. Remind me again how this is a chick car?
  • The MX-5 is a sports car you can actually afford. I'm guessing that for most of us the Mercedes SL Class would be a first choice if you had $100,000+ to spend. Even a Porsche Boxster would be amazing as well for half the price at $50,000+ but that's mostly like not an option. Finding a MX-5 for $10,000 with low miles is pretty reasonable though, go Mazda!
  • It still has manual transmission. Many other sports cars are slowly changing to automatic, why? Might as well switch out your 50" LED TV for that old 300 pound tube hiding in storage while you're at it.
  • Fun AND Reliable. Most of us know that sports cars aren't exactly known for their reliability, but the Miata is the exception. It even holds a five-star dependability rating from JD Power & Associates for starters.
  • Girls love it. Sure, getting that old 70' Mustang might help you get noticed. I mean among the 15 year old boys and middle aged men who want to hear you rev it a few times for them. However, when the ladies see that sleek two-rider convertible come into play, then see how wonderfully charming you really are, well you're off to a great head start.

Top 5 Cars for College Grads

For the graduating class of 2013, these two things are most likely to be on their priority list.
  1. New Career
  2. New Car
Here at Valley Motors we can't help much with your career decisions, however, we can help you with finding the best cars for your future! Today we provide a list of 5 cars that have been recommended by various sources that suggest the best vehicles for college grads and their new adventures.

1. Honda Civic 2010 Sedan.
Comfortable, Fuel Economy, and Quality Build. These are the main reasons why a grad would want to go with the Honda Civic. Knowing that the option of cruising across the country for a future job in this reliable car is appealing.

2. Toyota Prius 2009
Fuel Economy really doesn't get any better than this. If you're taking a new job that suggests a lot of travel, the Toyota Prius is for you. With a great amount of interior space, not to mention all the latest high tech gadgets involved, the Prius would be the best traveling companion.

#3 Hyundai Elantra 2008
Hyundai continues to climb the ladder in the auto industry. With the solid handling, reliability and great warranty this car provides, it's hard to go wrong with the Hyundai Elantra. Not to mention that the price on these vehicles are more attractive than other competitors as well.

#4 Ford Mustang 2003 Convertible
What's better than riding in some powerful American Muscle with the wind in your hair? I can't think of much. The availability of jumping from a V6 to V8 for some more horses isn't out of the question either. Reliability on these muscle machines are solid and mpg isn't as bad as you might think.

#5 Mazda MAZDA6 2007
While it isn't a sports car, it's still well recognized as a fun to drive, smooth but powerful, type of vehicle. Again, it represents solid mpg and reliability as well. Making it yet another great choice for a college grad.
